Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question you don't see listed here, please feel free to contact us. One of our Pool specialists will be happy to answer any questions you may have and/or schedule a no-obligation in home consultation.

How much does a pool cost?
Always the most popular question and really the hardest to answer without knowing what size pool and how much will go into your specific project. When making comparisons, you should definitely request a consultation so that the pool builder can give you the most accurate estimate possible and so you can review their qualifications, references and past experience. A pool is a long-term investment - Don't be mislead by companies who quote low prices only to be surprised by hidden or undisclosed costs.

What is the best way to finance the pool?
Financing your pool should be relatively easy. If it's a new home; you can often finance the pool along with the home. Otherwise, you can opt for a second mortgage, equity line of credit or refinance because building a pool is generally considered a home improvement that will add value to your home. Generally, with this type of financing the interest will be tax deductible (always check with your tax advisor). Johnson Pools Design Consultant will discuss the options with you.

My yard is odd shaped and small - can I still have a pool?
We build pools in large or small areas, hillsides, waterfronts, sloping landscape - just about anywhere. Since our pools can be any custom shape; they work well for seemingly unsuitable areas. Your design consultant will review your area and make recommendations during your free consultation.

How long does it take to build a pool?
In most cases, you'll be swimming within 8 weeks or less. Of course, our tasks are heavily dependent on weather conditions. Our team is efficient at keeping you informed of any delays and in most cases we will complete your pool on (or before) schedule!

Do you handle the landscaping?
Unlike some other pool companies, Johnson Pools, directly or through our landscaping partners, offers landscaping services beyond the pool construction. You may chose to have us install your pool deck, hardscaping and/or do-it-yourself. The choice is yours, however, our team does high quality work so that you're not left with a huge clean-up after the project is finished.
